Originally founded in 1955 by Otis Hawkins, the company quickly became a trusted name in the Dallas–Fort Worth landscape scene, shaping the region’s commercial and civic environments for more than five decades. When Otis retired in 2012, his son stepped in to lead the business through a new era—honoring the legacy while reimagining the future. As part of this transition, the company was restructured and renamed, giving rise to SRH Landscapes and SRH Trees, with the new initials paying tribute to two beloved family dogs, Scout and Reba Hawkins, who both left a lasting mark on the Hawkins family and the land they nurtured.
