Tyler Hawkins founded SRH Landscapes in February 2016 with a clear vision: to build a company where quality, relationships, and innovation come together to create lasting outdoor spaces. With more than 26 years of hands-on experience in the landscape industry, Tyler brings both deep knowledge and a genuine passion for the craft.

A Dallas native and graduate of Texas Tech University, Tyler’s connection to landscaping runs deep—his father was one of the first registered landscape architects in Texas (LI 206). Today, Tyler carries that legacy forward as a Licensed Irrigator and TDA Licensed Applicator, leading SRH with a focus on excellence, safety, and service.

Under his leadership, SRH has expanded into Fort Worth and Lubbock, continuing to grow while staying true to its customer-first philosophy. Tyler is passionate about building strong teams, cultivating lasting client relationships, and driving continuous improvement across all aspects of the business.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife, McKayla, and their three dogs—Hank, Baxter, and Kate. He’s also an avid college football fan and loves traveling to experience new places and perspectives. His favorite plants reflect his appreciation for beauty and detail: Japanese Maple trees, Hydrangeas, and Zoysia grass.

Otis Hawkins believed that landscaping was more than a business—it was a calling to serve the communities of Texas. From the scorching summers to unexpected freezes, he understood the unique challenges of North Texas soil and climate, and took immense pride in creating outdoor spaces that thrived despite them. Otis taught his crews that every project, whether a small city park or a sprawling corporate campus, deserved the same commitment to excellence. rnrnHe’d often say that when you shape the land where people work, gather, and celebrate, you’re not just installing plants—you’re building the backdrop to their lives. This philosophy of honest work, fair dealing, and genuine care for the Texas landscape continues to guide every project we undertake, ensuring that the spaces we create today will serve communities for generations to come. We celebrate Otis’s legacy not through words alone, but through the enduring beauty of the landscapes we maintain and the trust we’ve earned over 70 years of experience. His spirit lives on in every precisely edged lawn, every thoughtfully placed tree, and every handshake that seals a promise to deliver nothing less than our best.

Hank the “H” in SRH is an 11 year old golden retriever who helps design the paw-fect landscape design. Outside of his official duties, Hank is passionate about fetch, belly rubs, duck hunting, swimming, and sneaking naps in the shade of freshly planted trees. With a nose for adventure and a heart full of loyalty, Hank keeps the crew smiling and reminds us all to enjoy the landscapes we work so hard to create.rnrnWhen he’s not busy supervising landscaping projects from his favorite sunny spot, Hank can be found conducting quality control inspections of newly installed irrigation systems—usually by splashing through them with unbridled enthusiasm. His keen eye for detail extends to soil analysis (which involves a lot of digging and the occasional buried treasure hunt), and he’s particularly skilled at identifying the perfect locations for shade trees, having personally tested countless spots for optimal napping conditions. Hank believes that every great landscape should include at least one perfect stick, plenty of room to run, and a cozy corner where hardworking crews can take a well-deserved break with their four-legged supervisor.
